The new mortal kombat is out and it doesn’t disappoint. The story mode begins at the end of Armageddon. Shoa Kahn has won and is about to kill Raiden. Before he can do this however Raiden decides to give his past self a message. And thus you get the mortal kombat story retold anew. The story covers the original 3 mortal kombats explaining the orignal story between them while at the same time answering a few questions along the way. Gameplay has returned to 2D fighting which allows for faster combat. you are also given a power meter which can used in three ways. You can break your enemy combo, strengthen one of your special moves via ex special or perform a devastating x-ray. With that said all of this works perfectly except for a few things. The ex special sounds out place but like most fighting games it has become part of the formula as it adds to he combos. There is a lot of replay value as there are many of modes to play as well as online. There is also a dlc on the way which will bring a new character to the game. For any fighting game fan the new mortal kombat is worth picking up or buying.
P.S. THe bosses do have autogaurd so keep that in mind.
