Why hd and not a sequel

A lot of games are getting the hd treatment instead of a sequel that fans have been asking for. Today a Shenmu and Skies of Arcadia have been mentioned in an interview discussing  dreamcast hd remakes. If you don’t know the games then let me give you a small idea. Shenum was fighting sandbox game that did receive a sequel but received mixed feelings. Skies of Arcadia was a rpg that included ship battles that took place in the sky. You play a flying pirate after all.   I should point out that Skies of Arcadia did get hd remake when it was ported to the gamecube. I am a fan of this game and I could have sworn that we asked for a sequel not another remake.  Hideo Kojima also it doing this as he is releasing the zoen of enders hd collection instead of a sequel.  Don’t ge me wrong as I do see the reason for remaking them. These games do have a cult fanbas and were hits on there respected systems. Remaking the game also allows you to introduce it to a new audience thus expanding it fanbas. For those same reason we should see a Skies of Arcadia 2 or Zone of Enders 3. A little side not if haven’t please check out Zone Of Enders 2 and Skies of Arcadia. Thank for reading
