If you haven’t heard of the series then let me enlighten you. An rpg that didn’t get much buzz Shadow hearts take out history and gives it a dark twist. You play as Yuri a dark hero how uses the souls of the monsters he defeated as weapons and changes into them. You travel the from Asia to Europe taking down Simon. A wizard who is after Alice the young lady you have decided to protect. Yes it is turn base but with a little something extra. This game features something called the ring of judgement. When ever you chose something from a spell to an item or just a simple attack the ring pops up. Here is how it works the ring is a big circle with an arm that sweeps around it clock wise most of the time. There are areas called hit points that depending upon if you hit the right part will carry out the command or increase it power. If you miss the hit area the command will not work. For example let say you hit attack. The ring pops up and you hit two of the three areas. Instead of the full three attack your character would do they would do two. There are there installments the first two take place across Europe and Asia as I said the last one took place in America with a new lead. If I struck you interest please check them out.
