A while back I informed you of that Platinum wants Virgil games for the cheap. In the article I said this style is basically the same. for those who don’t understand what I am talking about let me explain myself. Platinum games is known for one thing and that is over the top action. Over the top action is bigger than life enemies and crazy logic defying fights. Bayonetta shows this off with the bosses she has to take down. The bosses in her world are extremely powerful and huge that one of them is creating a storm that engulfs a whole with ease. The power is just as over the top as the bosses. In Darksider case both War and Death posses great power but it is nothing like when they transform. For War he turns into what looks like a demon while Death turns into a large Grim Reaper. In Darksiders 2 Death uses this ability not just during battle but also to end them. Unlike War though Death knows a spell or two so as you go through the game you can mix and mach so you end up with the Death you wanted

As for Bayonetta she is a witch so she has tons of spells at her disposal. The powers that are in the game are transformation as you will see tun into a big and a bird for some stages in to bridge a gap or get somewhere quicker. IN the terms of weapons Bayonetta can project the inner demon of the weapon she is using. FOr instance if she using the claws in battle a fire or lightning elemental body will come out depending on the combo you are using at the time. Also Bayonetta uses her hair to summon demons to our world so in order to finish a boss off her clothes which are made of her own hair will go away as a demon appears.

As for their weapons both games have their characters using over sized weapons so their isn’t much difference their. So that would mean the looting system was the big difference. For those who don’t know the looting system is just what it sounds like. Once the enemy is defeated you take what they left behind and decide if you want or not.
So in short over the top action that is shared by these two games means powerful people having David vs Goliath battles all the while growing stronger with style holding them if all together.
