It has been reveled that Team Ninja and Square Enix are being shaken up but in different ways. In Square Enix case Yochia Wada is stepping down and Yosuke Matsuda will take his place as president in June. This news comes on the fact that the huge console games missed their mark and thus the company is expected to loss 13 billion yen. With that said projects will lose out.
As for Team Ninja no one is getting fired or Wada case stepping down but they are getting switched around. You see the team is now being cut into two halves. One team is being led by Yosuke Hayashi and the other team is going to be led by Keisuke Kikuchi. It is unclear how the work load has been split between the two teams so I will keep you updated on that.
If you are wondering what titles Square Enix was banking on here they are. Hitman Absolution, Tomb Raider and Sleeping dogs.I cannot explain why these games didn’t sell. THere is no doubt though the all journalist are going to give their two scenes though and when they do I will tell you.
