First off lets start with the good news. Hitman, Tomb Raider and Sleeping dogs are most likely getting sequels. The reason is because all three titles broke even so they are profitable and thus deserve sequels. The other news comes is on how they will conduct business. This comes as the lose that Square Enix too this year was massive causing them to look inward at themselves. Doing so they found that the way they were doing things were wrong. For instance they shouldn’t be relying on hardware games so much and instead should rely on software as well in terms of mobile gaming. Also the idea of keeping a game secretive until it is released. The production manager Yosuke Matsuda stated that this is a mistake. Today people are kept up to date on a game. Which before you comment I think they mean on projects that have been in development for a very long time like Versus. Also Square Enix Stated that it will rethink the production of triple a games. To prove that they are going to be more open Square Enix now has their YouTube channel. My guess is that this will be used to show you the shows and receive feed back on them. Like E3, I imagine whatever trailers and interviews happen their will be posted on the their channel first. Even with that said Yosuke Matsuda stated to investors that the complete return on their investment maybe impossible. For more check out the article below.
