Square Enix President sat down with Famitsu Magazine the other day to discuss Square future. The discussion touched on everything from going into the smart phone market to porting games to the big one they have in development. Matsuda talked about the smart phone games saying that other studios under Square Enix will be working on them while the main studios are working on Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom hearts 3. He was asked by Famitsu about his concerns about the quality of the story of the games on the smart phone as compared to a console game. He replied saying that “I believe that such story-driven single player games are written in Square Enix’s DNA,” continues Matsuda. “On the other hand, for example, if we make a sandbox-style game, I believe we’d make it into something with an online feature.” For more check out the article link below.
