Hearing that Sony was hit with DDOS attack many gamers feared their information was hacked or stolen. Sony has come forward and has stated that no personal information was stolen. Computer savvy people probably weren’t worried as their is a different between DDOS attack and DDOS hack. DDOS attack is artificially inflated traffic DDOS hack is the one that steels information. The press statement reads as follows.
“Like other major networks around the world, the PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network have been impacted by an attempt to overwhelm our network with artificially high traffic.” Sony said in a blog post on Playstation Blog.
“Although this has impacted your ability to access our network and enjoy our services, no personal information has been accessed. We will continue to work towards fixing this issue and hope to have our services up and running as soon as possible.”
We have warning from the hackers saying that xbox is next.
