Dragon Age is showing off an interesting feature with the keep. For the most part the keep keeps track of your data but you can switch things up. What that means is that you can keep the progress you have made in the game but switch your character profile a bit so instead of a human you are a dwarf with an eye for humans. Also the Keep allows you to take you game and port it to any device. The example given to this is you can go from PC to console to smart phone. the people at Bioware say this is a way of keep consistency. I will post video that further explain it and show it off so you can get an idea for the new feature.
