Greg Moore a senior community leader for Capcom talked a little about Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Now from what already know the revamped game for current gen consoles brings new players Vergil, Lady and Trish to fight with Dante and Nero. Greg has explained a little more as saying that you will fight Dante as Vergil but not the other way around. The reason for this is because he said it has been done before.
“Something cool I haven’t seen anyone call out yet is that 4SE will finally let ya fight Dante as Vergil. Pretty much immediately, in fact! And can you fight Dante against Vergil? No, but that’s been done.”
For those who are expecting new bosses I have bad news for you. Greg says that is not the case and the same goes for Nero are man with the devil bringer. Greg says the reason for this is because Nero move set is already robust enough. At the same time there was no mention of Dante either being changed or not. Also Greg mentions that all the major stuff has been announced already but not everything as they have still tweaks and customs.
“Are all the DMC 4 Special Edition Features revealed or are there more yet to be revealed? We haven’t withheld any major features, but smaller tweaks and costumes have yet to be shared, ntm the new characters’ moves. Will Nero have additional moves? Nope. He’s already got a super-robust move set, tbh. I suppose the reason to play with him would be if you find it fun. Also new costumes.”
So in other words we are getting new players and tweaked gameplay but over all most of the same. Which means for the most part fans might just by this game for the three new characters since Nero and Dante (since changes from him were not mentioned) are only getting new skins. Again most of this stuff is for gameplay for those wondering if the story get explained more we will have to see.
