We are getting more information regarding Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition a revamped version of the original with some nuance and characters to add for fun. Since Vergil has been added fans have been asking when does the game take place and strangely enough we have Capcom saying the game takes place before Devil May Cry 3. I saw strange because almost all of the weapons Vergil is using he received through DMC 3. Also we are being told to pay attention as we may receive hints at the cannon. At least that is what Capcom’s Greg Moore community organizer is saying.
“The Vergil mode is set prior to the events of DMC3.FWIW, you might catch a hint pertaining to the overall series canon if you’re pretty observant.”
I guess it is a good thing they are addressing this as with games going back and forth someone will have to straiten out the order of the games cannon wise. At the moment that is all we are being told at the moment.
“As I’ve said before, we’ll have more info to share about the costumes in coming weeks. We haven’t shared any specifics yet”
