Their is a list flying around that seems to be the whole list for Street Fighter V. This past E3 we got two more reveals which bring the confirmed character list to six the list makes that twenty. The confirmed characters are Ryu, Chun Li, Nash, Bison, Birdie and Cammy.
Eagle: Teased at during Comic Con and full reveal at Evo. Will be in the beta. Not playable at Evo.
Ken: Reveal at Evo. Will be in the beta. Not playable at Evo.
Akuma: Teased at Evo and full reveal at GDC
Si-won (NEW): Korean Hapkido grappler, reveal at GDC
Karin: reveal at TGS
Dhalsim: reveal at TGS
Sabrina (NEW): German femme fatale, reveal at TGS
Urien: reveal at TGS
Lucia (NEW): Dive kick character from Final Fight. reveal in October around GDC China and Brazil Game Show time
Juri: reveal at Capcom Pro Tour Asia finals
Sakura: reveal near Dreamhack Winter dates
Alex: reveal at Capcom Cup
Guile: reveal before launch
Zephyr (NEW): Boss character, reveal before launch
Akira: From Rival Schools, planned as pre-order DLC. Will be the first DLC character which will be added in periodically, no price point but probably around $6 if you don’t pre-order. Announcement will be made sometime after both betas have ended.
Vega: DLC character to be released with Akira. No price point but also looking like $6.
For those who are new fighting games get these a lot as people take guesses as to who will be in the game often putting in their favorite. Earlier this year we received a list that claimed to be the same thing but that screamed more fake to me as it seems to take more lessons from killer instinct which didn’t add up. This list is hard to say but at the same time I see a few flaws with this list as well. One interview with a Capcom member stated that they wanted each character in Street Fighter V roaster to be unique I see that as a problem when we have characters that play off of each other to much. I have said I wanted Ken to make the cut but with that said we have on this list Sakura as well as Akuma also we have Guile making the list as well when we already have Nash. These character may have different personality but there moves have always been close. Of course that could change the same way they changed Nash giving two old school moves while giving him a others that are his own thus each one has their own style. What do you guys think though? Is this another without a leg to stand on or is something to this?
