I have posted earlier that Tetsuya the director of Final Fantasy VII remake is looking to make dramatic changes to the game and that they will be recognizable. What that means is that he won’t turn it into a shooter but there was something left out As multiple news sources has posted their article on the subject Gematsu has added something interesting. IN their version of the story they have Tetsuya mentioning he will be looking at Advent Children for the Remake. He said though he wouldn’t be using the models since they are dated. I think he will be looking at it as for the style of the characters in the movie as a reference point to get to an idea for inspiration on where to start.
“Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie, which he also directed, for visual references and inspiration, but that he and his team “don’t intend on utilizing the 3D models of Advent Children as is because, well, it’s a different technology, and it’s actually been almost ten years since Advent Children was first released.”
Advent Children takes place after the event of FFVII as the world recovers from Sephiroth attempt to destroy it. As it recovers thinking the battle is over a strange illness appears along with three strange men who seem to be tide to Sephiroth in looks. We will have to see later in the year what this all means when they release more information but it doesn’t stop us from imagining ourselves what they can be doing or planning on doing with the game many loved and to some still love to date.
