Uncharted 4 is one of PS4 big games and many see it as the end of our dear thief Nathen Drake. Well the company behind the Indiana Jones inspired video game series is asking for a shot at a game fans have been waiting for a while in Half Life 3. Here is how it is looking according to the article. Neil Druckmann a developer on Uncharted 4 is also a big fan of Half Life and feels the pain of other fans or as he puts it.
“Neil openly asked Valve: “Look, Valve, all I’m saying is you give us the Half Life license and we’ll take care of the rest”. Valve’s silence on Half Life 3 is killing fans of the franchise. However, we have heard ton of rumors and leaks stating that the third installment in the franchise is indeed in development behind the closed doors at Valve. Back in 2004, Mih Le, creator of Counter Strike and formerly of Valve stated in a video interview to IGN that:
“I don’t think I can talk about that, to be honest, but I think it’s kind of public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on. I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kinda like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn’t surprise anyone if I said they’re doing it, they’re working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I’d say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3.”
For those who in unfamiliar territory with shooters (like me) in Half-life you just need to understand one thing. These fans have been waiting for a long time. In Naughty Dog defense these guys are good at what they do as almost of their games have loads of fans so I have no doubt they can deliver. The question here is what will Valve say.
