Team Ninja was asked why is Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 not coming to the west is said to be the conversation about women in video games. Team Ninja Facebook page posted the reasoning for the decision of localizing the game to Asia only as the following.
” We do not bring DOAX3 to the west and won’t have any plan change in the future. Thank you for asking.Do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision. Thank you.”
In other words they will not bring it here because the conversation has them believing the nitch for this game is to small to make a profit off of. Given the fact the game is just eye candy and not as action packed as DOA or Ninja Gaiden I can see the logic. The thing is though you still have people wanting the game here and the last two did well and they were exclusive so its a little difficult for me to see his as being that big of a problem if the they still want the next installment.
