Tomonobu Itagaki is one of the gaming industries biggest names thanks to the Dead Or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. The man is also known for his mouth something that often has something negative to say to projects he is not involved in or strongly dislikes. Well now is old place of business Tecmo is receiving his word as he gives his opinion on Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 only being released in Asia. “Guys, I really did my best to build game engine of Jet Ski in DOAX. (plus gambling simulator. lol)
Playing feel of the game looks very brutal. But in fact, my algorithm was really sensitive, so it was pretty hard to design new racing course, by setting buoys and objects. As result, I had to write some program code. That’s last code written by me in my life so far.
Plus, I had to design all courses by myself. I spent my physical power all night everyday, with my assistant, 杉山 忍 [Editor’s note: Shinobu Sugiyama, Game Designer on Dead or Alive Xtreme 2]. Sweet memories.
Anyway, do you think moron developers have craziness (oh no, I mean braveness) to make dead copies of my courses?

This is the second time Itagaki is showing that he is displeased with how the Dead Or Alive series is being handled. DOA 5 dlc was not to his liking as well.
If Itagaki rant is not good enough for you then let me tell you how Team Ninja is handling the issues with West wanting in on DOAX3. At this moment they are asking for the west to buy the Asian version of the game through Play Asia which comes with English text. We will have to see in Feburary when the game is released who is right on how well it will do. But what do you think about. Does Itagaki have a point in his rant and this is extremely stupid or are the Team Ninja people be logical and right about this? You tell me.
