With all the Final Fantasy news focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake one might forget that their are two Final Fantasy games as fans await Final Fantasy XV. Today we here that Final Fantasy XV battle system has been updated in two ways. One Cross Link the combination attack we say in the Episode 2 of the demo. Basically the expanded on it and made Cross Link more accurate. The second improvement is Slash link another combination system sadly nothing else is mentioned about it.
“The tempo and the feeling [of cross-link] was of course improved. Now you can cooperate [with other characters] quickly. The method of triggering it was also changed from the demo, and gameplay has improved considerably. This is because a system we did not have for the demo has been implemented for the final game.
In addition to cross-link, we have another yet-unannounced system named Slash-Link, that triggers cooperation with a companion in different conditions. Since this kind of cooperation between characters is the core of combat, we’ll polish them until the very moment in which the game goes gold.”Game Design Department Manager Kenichi Shida
