A few days back we were told a new D. Gray Man anime has been green light. The anime will have a new staff but it will be a continuation. Even though the creator of the series Katsura Hoshino says it will be a continuation she still sees it as being new. It is hard to sum this up so I will let you read what the manga creator wrote.
“Thanks to everyone who went to the D.Gray-man stage today. As was said in the announcement, a new series has been green-lit. Because the staff will be completely different, the story will be a continuation, but I think it will become a completely new D.Gray-man anime. Thank you for everyone who’s supported me until now.”

Wow that’s awesome! I thought we were done with D Gray man but nope:) Just a little confused about how they’ll cover the later chapters of the manga if they do animate them. I had a difficult time comprehending a lot of what happened tbh.
It is okay to be confused as I am confused what she meant on how they will continue myself. They might do it by using the later chapters as source but changing them a bit t fit their narrative.
