Hideo Kojima is set to inducted in the dice hall of fame. For those who don’t know Dice is where the game industry honors their own. Kojima is an interesting case as he has an interesting year. As you may recall because of his fight with Konami they bared him from the game awards where Geoff informed us why the fame Metal Gear creator wasn’t their. With that said it is nice see him get respect for the Metal Gear series. This is how Dice summed up Kojima,
“Hideo Kojima’s career-defining works have shaped much of how the video game industry approaches cinematic storytelling and player engagement. As one of the most well-loved and well-respected designers of our time, it is a great honor for the Academy to induct him into our Hall of Fame. Hideo is a game creator whose eyes have always looked towards the future, and we look forward to his thoughts on the D.I.C.E. Summit stage.”
