I missed one subject when I did my look back on 2015 and that was Action/ Adventure games. The reason why is because we had a lot of wishing and two confirmed. So with that said if you don’t mind lets take a look.
Nioh
Many fans have been wishing for Onimusha Capcom Demon clan slaying game to return and what they get is Team Ninja serving up something that might due in Nioh. Playing as a William a man o western descent you are in the middle of a war in Feudal Japan. As the Western Samurai fights his way through Japan he will face human and Oni enemies alike. The help William when his swordsmen ship isn’t enough are guardian spirits that embodies his weapon with special properties that allow him to stand toe to toe with the Oni. Combining Team Ninja action speed of Ninja gaiden with feudal era and Oni makes someone like me as an old Onimusha fan itching to see the final product of this game.
Onimusha
Onimusha is one of Capcom old titles that had you face the down the demon clan as a member or someone who allied of the Oni clan which granted you some great weapons. The game has not seen a console release since the fourth installment but Capcom has recent trademarked the game name again. Now this is a far cry from hinting at a new game as it is doing is making sure no one else can use the name. But it would be nice to see the old series return.
Hellblade
A new game from Ninja Theory the people who brought us DMC and Heavens blade are working on a new tail. This time we are traveling through dark lands. A new Heroin Senua has us fighting the darkness but it is hard to say if this is real or in her mind as the game seems walk a tight rope between the two. Ninja Theory is trying some new tricks so they can make a cheap triple a game without losing quality in the process.
Devil May Cry 2016
One of the of the games we heard about might be in the works is a new Devil May Cry. The series tried something new with DMC but that didn’t go so well as made two camps in the fan base that has been addressed with two dams DMC definitive edition and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. What gives us hope to see a new game is Capcom doing the same with Onimusha by securing the trademark and we have the voice actors from Devil Mar Cry 4 Special Edition talking about hearing of a new game where they are being asked to come back. Fans are waiting to see which way the game will go from this fork
Ninja Gaiden 4
Following Ninja Gaiden 3 fans were happy to receive Razor Edge and are now waiting for the next installment. Unlike DMC Team Ninja themselves have been working on the game or at least in thinking about the next game this came up earlier this year and since that mere mention we haven’t heard anything new since. As the team focuses on DOAX3 and Dissidia Final Fantasy the game It has been awhile since Ryu has left the ring to go deal with the fiends and black spiders and many fans would like to now what is next.
As I said a few wish list and a few confirms but hopefully that number changes in 2016.
