A new mechanic was shown of at the Taipei Game Show 2016 for The King Of Fighters XIV. Now while most of the gameplay has been stripped to keep it simply we see Advance Cancel. Shown very briefly Advance Cancel allows players to go from a DM (Desperation Move) to a SDM (Super Desperation Move) or MDM (Max Desperation Move). You see it a quick second as Iori goes from Maiden Masher DM to his new one at max level. This is from the presentation so we will have to see if their are more changes but it is nice to see the cancel return as it was one of the things a liked about KOF XIII.
