As we get to watch the first part of Street Fighter V story mode online with the YouTube post we come to find out that their may be more. Now this is not referring to the story DLC that will be hitting in June but the over all story of the Street Fighter universe. You see SFV isn’t just the first game with story mode it is going to be the game to give the series a story time line. What this means is that the story may get updated beyond Street Fighters to include he other five games. Remember the time line according to Ono is Alpha, SF2, SF4, SF5, SF3. Now at the moment the story cinematic is set to an hour and half of in game animation story as we saw with the story trailer. That is if the fans want to.
“This is not going to be typical illustrations; this is going to have in-game models, everything will happen in real time, and it’s also going to have an hour plus of cinematic content. We have two approaches that we’re actually taking. First and foremost, there are the character stories, which are really serving as a prologue in terms of getting people up to speed with what’s happening in Street Fighter 5. It’s very similar to what you see in other Street Fighter titles — it has still screenshots, conversations, and banter between characters. With Street Fighter 5, the concept that we’re trying to accomplish is to wrap everything together — all six titles of Street Fighter together — cohesively. “Ono
Now as I said we might get more story mode content if the fans demand. What that means is that we might get story mode touching into the other games such SF3 or explaining a little more about SF4 and previous titles.
“There’s a possibility of that; we don’t have anything planned just yet as we’re just working on the first expansion, which is already very ambitious. But time will tell, if there’s a lot of fan demand for things. There could be a likelihood in the long-term,” Capcom’s Matt Dahlgren
As always thank you for reading.
