Capcom came out at PSX 2016 saying the following.
“Capcom is currently focused on reviving series that have not had new entries recently, or otherwise dormant IP,” the publisher said in a press release. “Beginning with ‘Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite,’ a return for the series following a five-year hiatus, Capcom looks to enhance its corporate value even further by utilizing its library of rich contents.”
To some that mean Darkstalkers and Rival School as I mentioned in previous post but what if that wasn’t the only answer. Some such as Mobile naps J Rose thinks this to apply to other series such as Devil May Cry. We haven’t hear anything new on the series since DMC and the last time it was revisited was for special versions of DMC and Devil May Cry 4. It is a long shoot but with the idea of them looking back a series that have been on Hiatus( that is a good way of looking) for five years DMC was in 2010. Meaning 6 yrs going on 7. Fans are waiting for this as they want to see which way Capcom goes. Will take Ninja Theory new road that brought in new players or go with DMC 4 and continue from their? Or will they treat it like Marvel and have a split universe so they can have it both ways .Me I think that is why we have not seen the game as Capcom decides which way to go with the next title. I want DMC 4 but that is me. Let me hear what you guys want.
