Their are spoiler ahead so please if you have not yet seen Bungou Stray Dogs season 2 stop reading now. Okay you have been warned.
The second season of Bungou Stray Dogs was interesting as it kept us guessing where things were going. We got a closer look at Dazia for the most part as this focused on him an Atsuishi but that is not all. (Still interesting that he foresaw most of the events thanks to planning)Other things revealed during the season make it nice and enjoyable.
For instance we got to see the leaders of both the Agency and Port Mafia in action. With both being able to defend themselves well enough to the point that Kunikida believes he the boss aka his master doesn’t need protection. His ability is also explained as it has the power to grant people under him/working for him control over their abilities when their was none before. To bad though we didn’t get a better look at the port mafia leader ability. We were shown that he is a smart one with what he did in Dazai past as well as how he went after the Guild and the Agency.
We also get to know Ranpo better. The only none ability user in the group is the best detective among them. But it always caught me as odd that he wouldn’t see he has no special ability and in fact he is just that smart. In season 2 we see it is a little bit more of an ego thing. When Ranpo meet his rival we see him mention to Yukiko that he has to have ability as that is just how smart he is.
We also got a view into their world as certain legal documents allow the agency and groups like them to act without Government interference. We also see that Atsuishi and the girl from the Guild might have gone to the same orphanage as they had similar punishments. We still have many things to explore. The military police have yet been seen making any moves in the series but yet a referred to making wish to see more of them or somebody in the story represent them to the rest of the cast.
Also what other skills they posses. For the powers they have they seem to be for the most part skilled at other things or have insane traits to but Danzi/Ranpo smarts and Kunikida with his fighting skills. They may not have much but we see that Tanizaki is not just good at following people but he can also fly a helicopter.
We also have more of Dazia past coming forward which seems to have explained the opening as we had Akutagawa and Atsushi teaming up the same way Dazai and his former partner Chuya used to be. Also what book was Frances looking for that can bring their daughter back. We also should see more of the other members past as we continue to see what else the Agency faces.
