Okay so for those who know The King Of Fighters knows there are basically right now 4 sagas. Oriochi, NEST, Ash and Shun. Verse saying that I am the original has fans thinking that it is a sign this characters creation is the return of Igniz the last boss of the NEST Saga which you can look in my past post as I covered him and Goodman the other day. But that discussion we mentioned Krizalid and K which I will explain now.
K the hero of the Nest Saga was an assassin for the cartel who was implanted with Kyo flame. This processed removed his memories and was lead to believe he was a clone. It was later revealed after defeating Krizalid that he was the clone and K was the original which was brought to our attention by Whip as she told him this before he died. This brings up the issue with verse statement. The argument of originally or not was in 99 between K and Krizalid not Ingiz.
But taking that into account that would mean that Krizalid was brought back through Verse defeat. That will be something as he plays like no of the others in the flame family. He is how it breaks down. K uses flames and speed as we see with his use projectiles and black out being based as some fans would state on Bruce Lee incepting fist aka Jeet Kung Do. I always pictured the power of the final showdown (Kyo strongest DM we see in 98 and 2003) going into K personally. In terms of power since he doesn’t like the tournament he is mostly dragged into it. Yet Mukai the boss of 2003 mentions K potential after facing him to be the more than just Kyo copy .Also us seeing him show more power but that can also be coming from the fact SNK and Elioth were fighting over the title as SNK went into bankruptcy.
Krizalid even though he is a clone of K uses the data gathered from the fighters to fight not even using the power of fire from Kyo. In honest he is one of the most difficult boss of the series as he almost leave no opening to got after him with. We saw him last in story in 2001 fighting alongside the original Zero but last played him in KOF 2002. He fights using explosions, energy and wind I can’t even imagine seeing this guy in a modern game given how op he was. But it does fit the SNK mold. But that is it for these two. I will post an article talking about the flame wielders in KOF another time as I am think about getting ride of KOF world article.
