As we look back at 2017 we look back to see the surprises in videogames. This covers the surprise announcements so no just update. Basically don’t expect Lost Soul Aside here.
First lest start with Megaman 11. Fans have been asking for a new megaman for some and seeing X appeared in Marvel Vs Capcom infinite only made that chant grow. Now we have Megaman 11 which brings the blue bomber to modern consoles. We still know very little this game as so far we have only one trailer. But it is nice to see the Megaman back. Not X but I will take it.
Soul Calibur VI announcement was mentioned rumors. But then we get announced at the Video Game Awards. Rumor confirmed it was nice to see swords clash. Not only was the game confirmed but the characters are younger which means that not only did they learn from Tekken 7. We believe the team has learned from Mortal Kombat 9 in that this is a reboot. Another thing fans are thank full for.
The last game which was a surprise was Gungrave. Gungrave VR announcement was a mixed bag. Yes it was a first person shooter which works well on the VR but fans are use to third and watching Grave aka Brandon Heat do be cool while taking on the enemy with style. Well that is the cool part as we learned that VR was the opening act for G.O.R.E which will be for the PS4. Lets hope to see more of the man from beyond the grave.
These were the games that were announced that I found to be very surprising. Lets hope for more good surprises in the new year.
