Sega announced House Of the Dead Scarlet Dawn today. For those who might not have heard of the franchise House Of The Dead it places mostely 2 players against the hoard of the undead through cities. The House came from the first game which was mansion. Since they have moves on to other places to take those who refuse to move on.
Anyway Sega is bring this back to the arcades with preliminary location test will be held in Japan from January 19 to 21 at Sega Akihabara Building 3 in Tokyo, Japan. Now with the unreal 4 engine these promises to be one of the best looking games in the series and with what they are doing with the arcade cabinet it will be a ride. Yet I don’t know if scary will be something I would say to House of the Dead but I could be wrong.
“House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn promises “never before experienced horror” in a theater-style arcade cabinet that uses the latest technology. Unreal Engine 4 is being used for the graphics engine, and the number of creatures that appear on screen will be the highest in the series yet. The arcade cabinet is equipped with mechanics such as air cannons and vibrating seats, which activate based on the player’s progression. It also has a motion sensor that lights up the outside of the cabinet to attract passerby players”
