A list of games you will see at EVO 2018 main stage was posted yesterday. The list raises a few questions as Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite is not on it nor is The King Of Fighters XIV yet Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.
Now for those who don’t know a game to EVO because of popularity and how much people play it. And that is the thing do people play it enough. Now for MVCI they are saying that the game has fizzled out and people aren’t playing it enough.
“We know [MvCI] was on a slippery slope and it had a lot of competition going forward,” Mr. Wizard started. “And it just kind of… fizzled.”It’s not to talk smack on Marvel or anything. It’s always been a great game for EVO [and] it’s had a stoic 15 years at EVO. It was the main game for eight straight years, it was crazy.
But I don’t think people are playing it, and that’s the problem. We’ve always had to support games that people actually play.”
Now keep this in mind marvel been at EVO for a while since the beginning. The article even notes that the game has always had high entries. Not just one year but for many. Still the word is that is not being played
Granted that doesn’t explain BBCTB which isn’t even out yet to even be judged on this. On top of that the game big issue with roaster and DLC will cause people a little issue supporting it.
Before I end this article I would like to remind everyone that EVO in the past has had to change there list after making due to fan backlash for demanding a game. KOFXIII was one where they used the same logic only to have the community tell them they are still playing the game. Here is the list for EVO 2018 encased you missed it.
