Earlier we got some Final Fantasy VII Remake news as we learned that new screenshots as well as concept art were at the Final Fantasy 30th anniversary . These screenshots showed Cloud sporting a different look that was closer to the original as stated by Nomura and Hamaguchi who were at the event.
But they said he would be younger and more dorki. I thought this was different for a second until I remembered something. That is how Cloud in the game. For the most part the Cloud we think off is one tone as most times when he has a voice it goes back to Advent Children. So in a way I see what were told about a goofier Cloud is a reminder of what he was like before the Advent movie. In the movie Cloud was fighting Geo Stigma and getting over Aerith Gainsborough death which made him pretty down. (Something that also had fans scratching there heads.)
Now there is another thing as I read the comments on the article page and some see this as a sign that development is backed up more than we thought. The thing with that is that can also go the other way as since they are showing it to a crowd shows they closer. Nomura says they are moving nicely as well (yes I know we have a trust issue but just bare with me.) So we might jut see a new trailer this year after all.

But no for real I think if the game play segments are anything to go by here then I’m sure cloud is still going to look like the cloud we know.
