The creator of Rurouni Kenshin Nobuhiro Watsuki has been fined 1900 US or 200,000 Yen in his case. Awhile back Nobuhiro was charged with possession child pornography. A case he has plead guilty to probably to reduce the sentence as normally it is million yen and 1 year jail time for this crime.
As of now hiss manga series which has had a new spin off is on Hiatus which was announced by Shueisha not long after the charges became public.
