Final Fantasy Remake To Maintain Identity

Final Fantasy VII Remake if successful will be the start of FF titles to remade and retold to a new generation who might not have never played the originally. But this might be needed not just to show why fans favor these characters but to remind us who they are.

Case in point would be Cloud as when we he heard he would resemble the original game any were left confused by the statement. Given another look it just means he will be like as was not as we remember him because he is portrayed in Advent Children as serious distant and troubled by grief.  A different story as we look at the back at the main game and how ended.

But this isn’t just him. Kefka is the same way. He is portrayed as a comical villain yet he is more than that. This isn’t on purpose more it is how we remember them. In order to remember things we try to bring things to one dimension thus forgetting characters are more than that.

This leads me to the point that we might need Remake not just to enjoy the game once more and to fill Square Enix pockets. We will need them to remember who the characters are and that they are more than one note. Let me know what you guys think of this thought.

As always thank you for reading.
