Square Enix this year promised to have a big impact on E3 2018. They have had games that fans are excited for Kingdom Hearts 3 for one is everywhere as it Lara Croft Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. 2 big games but not the only ones we were hoping would be here.
Yet many fans were expecting more. With he presentation yesterday many were left scratching there heads as to why have a conference. Such Platinum game looks good and the FFXIV Monster Hunter World cross over is cool But we were expecting something about Final Fantasy 7 Remake an hoping for Final Fantasy XV news on the new DLC.
Now yes we have been hoping for big news on Final Fantasy VII Remake but before you can wishful thinking by fans let me remind you we being primed for this. Many of the developers have said they want to show us something. Even going as far as Naoki wanting to show something at the next expo. Considering magic was out many though that left E3 as the prime candidate. now so we are clear we are not talking just a new trailer and some gameplay. Fans would be happy with some clarity. While that can still happen as this is the first day the doors are open we will have to see.
Now XV we have seen plenty of. But the new DLC has fans wanting to know what we can expect from the next episodes. With the episode starting with Ardyn many fans hope we can get more back story to the gaps. Well we have no sign of that as well as this DLC might be something. Yet that was not there either.
Now fans were not the only ones disappointed . Square Enix stock fell 4.91 percent. While small it shows a negative reaction to the conference. There are good games they are showing. They just announced today the world ends with you final remix for switch. Kh3 is shown and is getting good news at the expo. Which brings me to the last point.
Many believe there were going to big things at the expo from Square Enix as they said they were going to have a big presence. Yet they had a small conference as it only lasted an half an hour with the others lasting more than that. If they going to be there but thing don’t go as planned then just say you are going to be there. Don’t say you will have a big impact just say you will be there.
