Jump Force was a big thing at E3 2018 showing off Goku, Luffy Naruto and Freeza in are world. At the end though the first trailer showed off Death note characters making people believe it is a character we will see in action soon. Today the producer Koji Nakajima explained that we see Light Yagami and Ryuk because they help tell the story not because they are apart of it.
“This game is going to feature a story around this unique situation, and that’s where Death Note comes into play. To kind of weave the story together. So, Death Note is not [going to have] a fighting game character.”
This confirmed by Bandai Namco later on as Death Note is not a fighting series and thus it wouldn’t work.
As long as they are no writing things down in a book we are all good. Look for Shonen world invading fighter next year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
