With Boruto the movie we were introduced to a lot of characters of the next generation as well as a plot. While the movie was good like most anime movies based on a series you will find some holes in it.
Boruto the animated series aimes to take care of them. One such one is Naruto is taken. Once taken Sasuke seems to know why the Otsutsuki clan attacked and where they went. In the movie it was more of he found it out in his travels.
In the anime it is all explained by a scroll he picked up. The scroll Kaguya, the clan plains and where they took Naruto. A nice way to answer questions but will people believe it is something we will find out.
