Dragon Ball Super Broly is bring in Broly but it also seems to be bring back some things. Basically we see goku holding his old staff which we haven’t seen in ages. But why? We know I won’t be for combat. As it turns out the staff was an idea from the Director wife to use.

Seems it was his wife’s idea to have Goku holding the Nyoibo, taking inspiration from the manga title page where Gohan holds it in a similar pose Like son, like father. Plus, there’s already a crapload of pictures of Goku firing a Kamehameha, but precious few showing adult Goku holding his good ol’ Compliant Rod.”
