Dead Or Alive 6 is toning down the fan service for functional clothes that cover up. The reason we were told is that fans wanted play characters but were turned of by what they wore.
Well it seems there is something else to this. The director of the game sat down for an interview where they disused the game and how DOAX3 went too far for his liking.
“There are a lot of different things involved in this approach. With DOAX3 we probably took it a little too far with the way things were shown in that game, and with the VR version we got a lot of flak for that, said Shimbori. With DOA6 it’s unlike X3. We want to be able to show it as a proper fighting game.”
Now it should be mentioned that fans have already asked about the characters old customs saying they want them back as they are iconic. Thus there old customs will be in the game. Just not as thee starting clothing. So it is hard to see if this is the right move yet. We will have to see how it goes as we still have not seen the full roaster let alone what they are wearing.
