Final Fantasy XV is getting a second set of DLC and we should be hearing about it at TGS 2018. Tabata is at the expo to talk about not only the up coming DLC but the game as a project.
He says DLC will be its own thing as it deals with the gaps in the story. Gaps that were planned not only as they would fill them out later through DLC . But these gaps were meant as a why of being mysterious. A new way of story telling that Hajime wanted to introduce himself to the game. A method of story telling that didn’t work.
Something that did work though is that this game has moved beyond the screen. From mmo to anime FFXV has transcended being a mere game and branched out the same way FF7 although one can argue it went further with online and mobile games.
