Netflix has added anime to its line as well as live action shows based on video games. With that in mind the question as to what else would they do if they could comes to mind. One person asked on twitter what if they did a show based on JRPG’s? This question only bring more?
Lets say they are focusing on that very question. If so you must ask which series do you wan to do? Do you go with the ones that are big now such as Final Fantasy or Persona? If you do the name alone will have fans wanting to see what it is(What it is by is no guarantee to them liking it.) Or do they want to bring to life one of the old ones such as Shadow Hearts (Which was mentioned in the tweet as a suggestion) Wild Arms (which the company are talking about bring that back) Or Legend Of Dragoon (A game fans who have played it have asked for a sequel.) If they did the old ones it could be a way to make relevant to more than just there fan base expanding and drawing attention. But as I said if they used big ones today such as Persona and Final Fantasy then they can use the strong franchise.
No matter which Netflix choses they will have to decided if they will go with the game or another in the series. By that I mean bring one of the games to life. Or will they just use the franchise as a base for there own story. One while exciting fans to see how the game would be done would also put pressure on the studio. The reason why they want to see it is because they love the story which means that in terms of the fans you better get it right. With the other you are using the name and franchise but putting your own entry in it. For example if they did go with Final Fantasy they wouldn’t look at the game for a story but instead as inspiration for there own. This would take away some pressure from them but they would still have to figure out how to make see it if not to see one of our games come to life. (We are skittish when it comes to adaptation of games.) 
The last question is live action or animated. To me with what we expect form these series I would say animated. But they could go live action with there own ideas. But those are my thoughts o the idea. Let me know what you think about this what if. Anime or live action? Cannon or none cannon? Current JRPG or past? Let me know your thoughts.
