Matsuzo Machida did an interview back in 2016 talking about Shadow Hearts. He has put this interview in English on his twitter. This interview had a moment which had Machida talking about if he had the chance that he would bring the series back as a sequel to the 2nd game.
This sparked fans to talk about it again and watch his every move. They do so hoping that he is eventual given the chance to make this for the fans who do want it. I hope that time comes. Hopefully with next year as it seems many are hoping for big things out of it an with all the remasters/ resurrections why not. I will post the tweet below for those who are interested.
