Hajime Tabata left Square Enix and shortly announced his own gaming company JP Games asking fans to wait awhile for more news. Well the wait is over as the ex Final Fantasy XV Director opens up about both.
First Square Enix as Tabata says him leaving and the DLC cancelation are 2 separate things. He also comments that he has a relationship with Square Enix but it was strained or in his words soured by FFXV. The reason why he left is to have his own studio and his own freedom.
JP Games which is Tabata new studio will be focused on making Triple A indie games. He wants to redefine game development using the cloud. I should point out 2 things about this as 1 this is something that Ninja Theory tried to do with Hellblade and 2 the article notes that cloud based development does come with its own problems such as security.
