It has been exciting for Bleach with the movie having a slow start but ending good. The novels are doing well and the mobile gaming is showing us a ever before seen Quincy transformation for Ichigo. That and the fact he is in Jump Force looks to be a good year for the soul reapers.
Yet we still have no news on a new anime to tackle the thousand year blood war. This is one of the things that is puzzling when it comes to Bleach. Fans are asking for the anime but are not getting it. Seeing the other things that come out and wanting to show the series has a vibrant fan base they support it them hoping that it will get them the anime. Yet sill no anime.
Now granted this was never a guarantee any of this would result in anime. More rather it was a hope by the fans who love the series and wish the last chapter to be animated. But with the folks who worked on it still wanting an anime to happen is makes you wonder what would make Shonen says yes to green lighting another anime series/ chapter? This is my legit question right now as with all these things it is missing is some serious love from Jump Festa. Will we ever get an anime.
It is hard to say as things are going well in other areas just not that. Maybe Shonen just left things to other sources like the novels and blood war video game. That might be the case as we don’t have anything else. Now this could change as I would love to see Pierrot make some magic with the arc and hopefully make us all happy. Yet something is stopping Shonen from pulling the trigger and saying go. I don’t know what but I hope that changes and we get to see the anime return.
