As we talk about things that might come back Bloody Roar comes to mind. We haven’t hear anything about the franchise since the Bloody Roar 5 hoax. For those who don’t know there was a news there was a new coming out which turned out to be a lie. But what if that was to happen.
Now to compare Bloody Roar isn’t like the other fighters we have out here. We had humans who can transform into animals which had 2 life bars for human and Zoanthrope forms. By the 4th game we had those with hyper beast form and super moves. But what would it be like if it was played today.
It would take what we said before and build. The game would enhance the character play styles as well as add some more. Maybe certain supers for hyper beast mode and beast for one. Another would be transitions that we see in Dead Or Alive. Both were known for kicking the person out of the ring. The sad thing is Bloody Roar was cool way to end a fight as DOA was a stage transition. It would be cool to have you fight during those transitions with the animations being different and depending on the form you have.
Story mode was hit or miss . Basically Yugo was the main and focused on him trying to find a balance between humans and Zoanthrope. (Think of X men but with people who can change into animal/ human hybrids.) The last story the unborn were trying to attack Gaia and cause harm once again but in doing so brought the fighters face to face with a dragon. Gaia ultimate guardian. I don’t know about story mode for the new game as only a few fighting game seem to be able to pull it off. So maybe a few arcade ending with the little cutscenes for certain fights.
Sounds cool but it is hard to say if we even get a chance at this. I say this as Hudson Soft was the developer they seem to have moved away from those types of games.. Also Konami had a hand on it and we don’t know what they are even planning on working now. That would be the least of it if Konami didn’t dissolve the group. With into account this might be one of the Konami games we hope makes a come back in some way.
