Devil May Cry 5 was a big deal this week as a lot of videos hit the internet. This is due to Capcom having an event where journalist and other lucky few got there hands on the game being able to play through 11 missions. But it was a lot to digest and I think we should go over them. With that spoiler warning ahead.
V
A cool mysterious guys fans can’t get enough off. Between his style and gameplay who can blame them. But the videos show something interesting as V is dead set against Urizen and wants to stop him at all coast. We see when he ask both Nero and Dante to kill with him saying Urizen has something to do with Dante past and is the reason he dos what he does. As for Nero he says he is the one who stole his arm. But it isn’t that simple as when we see V take down Goliath the fallen demon was getting ready to ask him why are you something but V cut him off.
This leaves me wondering if he might have had a hand in this mess but that is not all. The fact that Nero as well as the others ask what is he make you wonder just how much human he is.
Dante
We learned a little about the demon who started it all as we see that he knows who Urizen was. I say this as in the flash back we see the full statement of Dante saying “Now I will see with my own eyes .. if it really is you.” Granted this doesn’t nail it down as it still puts him between Mundus and Vergil. But seeing as how Dante blames this demon for his parents it might just be Mundus changed. Remember that V calls this guy Urizen meaning that who ever it was might have been transformed into him. We also have a new video I found where V uses Sparda to wake Dante up and explained that he only brought Nero because Dante failed.
Nero
We saw more of Nero flash back as well but instead of sheading new light it highlighted Vergil taking the Yamato aka devil bringer. We also see him taking on numerous bosses. That is not all though as we see that when you charge the blue rose the charge is now under Nero life bar where the devil trigger would be. This is probably to help player keep track of it since when charging the gun it can get confusing with charging the devil breakers.
Urizen
Yes we saw more of the big bad boss with scenes showing red crystal that I guess players will have to hit in order to break his shield. That is not all though as later in that video we see Urizen standing without the throne as Nero goes in. He still has the crystal with him so it seems the mechanics carries over.
We also learned of the time line. Now it is DMC3,1,, anime, 2, 4, 5. Something that many fans like myself are still trying to contemplate.
Now with all that said we still have a lot to look forward too. Nero devil trigger is believe by many to be in the game. What form that will take and when he will get it is something we need to see.
The story is something that becomes more intriguing as we learn more about it. From what Vergil and V have to do with it. To who really is Urizen one can’t help to wonder how it will all end and that is a first for the series. Being known for more style it is new to want to know about how the game story is going to play out. How does Dante get his Majin form is another thing to look forward and what will it offer the son of Sparda?
