Devil May Cry 5 had it final pre launch trailer and it was full of spoilers. So much it will take a lot to break down. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
The mother we never see. Through Devil May Cry series we never seen there parents with the exception of Sparda wife as Trish was made to look like her. The new trailer show us Vergil and Dante mom hiding a young Dante. This also mark the first time we get to see what separated the family in any way. The last time we saw or hear anything about this was DMC 1.
Dante new sword seems to have a second phase. This phase is what we saw in the other trailer when we got to see the shin devil trigger fully awakened. I say this as we have been seeing pics of it but not lit red or having effects on Dante attack. Not only when he is using it but when he isn’t. What I mean by this is that there is a lighting effect that seems to be on at all times no matter what weapon Dante is using. Caviler was being used yet we had four red blades appear. This might be an instance where we seethe new mechanic that Itsuno was talking about at work.
V short life is something fans have been theorizing about. This comes from the cracks in his face leaving many to think as cool as he is that he may not last to long. Well it seems the trailer hints to that with Nero having to have to help him. We don’t know how far along this is so we will have to see just how long V has to stop Urizen. Or to at least help Nero ad Dante in stopping him.
Nero was shown with some promise as well as fans have noticed something about him. Towards the end of the trailer Nero is surrounded by blue which has many thinking not only does he regrow his devil bringer but also gets his devil trigger. We knew this was coming thanks to a leak awhile back but now with the trailer we get an idea of the scene it takes place.
Vergil does appear but the way he does makes you ask some questions. For one who side is he on? The way Vergil appear before Nero and Dante he seems to be whole with Yamato by his side but it is unclear if the Sparda son who is usual after power is here to stop Urizen by killing him or was turned into him somehow and once defeated this happened. Hard to say especially with the way the scene goes. You can see the trailer below so you can see what I am talking about.
