Yesterday a post for Uncover Final Fantasy VII was posted on Square Enix twitter page only to be taken down. This has mix reactions as fans try to figure out what happened. I will try to touch on the points I have heard myself but if you have heard others please let me know.
1 It was a slip that wasn’t supposed to be announced yet as it say April 3rd in the picture This goes with the rumor that FF7 Remake was going to get an event similar to FFXV Uncover Final Fantasy XV. With What Nomura has been saying about a big event to announce the info for the game this seems to be a good candidate. But that is not the only possibility.
2 It is a fake. We have seen many live off of hoaxes like this who are good with photoshop and love to mess with fans. Some fans have even pointed out that the lettering is the same as the uncovered event to which they do have a point. It would explain why it was taken down.
Lets stat if this is true. Why take down? If this event is real and the date is right you might as well give people time to prepare since we only have a few weeks. That should be enough time for some people. The only thing is the date might be wrong so they pulled it down after finding out that issue. After all if the other rumor about this game coming out this year is true and we are looking for an end of the year sale than why not start the hype train now?
That rumor of the game coming out this year has something to do with the E3 news SE was talking about as well as there numbers which has many believing the game will be released this year. Something that has people excited and concerned at the same time as we hope if that is the case that Nomura and the rest of the team are further ahead than we though just as they have been telling us all this time. (Which is why maybe some people thought the post meant the game was coming out next month.)
But then again we must ask our selves what if this is fake. Lets say Square Enix was hacked by someone. Why not say so? Even now there is no response on Square Enix twitter to what we all saw. To show you this I will post the link below as I see known. On top of that this was treated as the rumor by gaming journalist as they have not spoken about it at all. By now I would hope to hear something from SE since this was from there own twitter account.
The hole thing leaves me in a sense confused. If this a rumor why no response the same can be said if it was a slip up on dates? At the same time if this was an announcement why take it down? This pull between rumor and leak has left me confused as I can only imagine many other fans. I will post videos about this and other rumors of the update and link to Square Enix twitter below. Can we all be wrong and this is a hoax yes. Can we be right and it was a little tease yes. I hope we are right but given that we can be wrong I at least want Square Enix to come out and explain this. But let me know what you all think.
