Today Sony fans heard some detail on Sony next gaming console which some have dubbed PlayStation 5. While some fans were happy to hear the console would be backwards compatible with PS4 other wanted more. This is due to old fans hope to play the old games on the new system. Is there a chance that maybe the case though?
Some old school fans want to play old games from PS1-PS4 on the next console. With rumors saying that would be possible due to some tech patients secured by Sony we got out hopes up that it would be a thing as it was with the PS3 goin back to PS1. And there maybe a small chance that is a thing.
Yes. Mark Cerny who has been working on the console is where we got the info from as he was giving an interview with Weird magazine. During the part were the author tried to press for other features or more details only for someone else to point out that is all Sony and Mark is ready to talk about. However the author notice Mark was smiling pretty big indicating they still have big things to reveal to us about the console.
Now is more backwards compatibility than what we have heard? We will have to see as more info about the console comes to light. Hopefully (as a JRPG and someone who has other games from the old systems) I hope so. But we will have to see what else Sony is working on.
