SNK unveiled some news as they talked to investors in Korea. 1 a new Metal Slug is in the works. It will be made for consoles but whether it will be done 2d or 3d wasn’t mentioned. Many think it will be 3D as it is cheaper as 2D has become more expensive and hard to find.
The company are planning to release a NeoGeo 2 & 3. These will not only play old games like the mini did but new ones as well. The list for the consoles were not unveiled so we have to see what that looks like.
Starting with 2020 SNK will be releasing 2 games a year. Since this is starting with 2020 it means that The King Of Fighters XV will be one of them. While being put on unreal we didn’t really get much news on the next installment other than development is going smoothly. If you think that is code for the game may come out sooner than expected stop as it is still to come out 2020. Which means at beast we can see a trailer this year.
With said while the consoles for KOF XV and Metal Slug were not revealed at this point the author of article think it will be on NeoGeo 2. But I also see it coming on other consoles as well that way the company doesn’t limited itself. This is one of the reason why some people just never heard of some of there titles as they were console exclusive.
Now they also mention the new Samurai Shodown Reboot saying they are already seeing a profit and this is just from preorders. S you can only imagine what will happen when they are starting to sell. SNK also mentions making a profit on SNK Heroines with 300,00 copies sold.
A lot to take in but for SNK fans it is a sign SNK is comin back strong as they slowly bring back all the titles we love.
