When Devil May Cry 5 was released fans were jumping with joy. And once they completed it finding Vergil was once again among the living they believe DLC allowing us to play as Dante more strict troublesome brother was a given. This was put to rest by Matt Walker who said development on DMC 5 was over. But that leaves a lot of questions.
Despite Capcom saying only Bloody Palace was in the works fans believe that more DLC was on the way. Thanks to the way DLC comes out these day and Data mining. Data mining showed lines in code supporting not Only Nero long lost father but also that Trish and Lady would soon get into gamers hands. Data mining isn’t a guarantee as it usual shows left over code that is sometimes turned into DLC. Other times it just isn’t. I also bring up DLC as just one DLC for the game today feels odd. Even it is probably the first 1 DLC a year does seem light.
Now we should be clear as this may change. No more DLC and maybe we get some next year. Both Itsuno and Matt have reacted to fans knowing we want more. It will just take someone to convince Capcom hire ups that is the right move. Let alone the right time. This also goes with data mining as some can be faked other don’t come until way later. We didn’t get the stage finishes for SFV until later on in the game life. Mind you people kept seeing that in code. But with all that aside this raises one big questions. What is Itsuno doing now?
To explain Itsuno posted a picture not to long ago with a group of people talking about his new team. This to some confirmed that he was working on DLC. But as we know that isn’t the case right now than what? Itsuno is an accomplished director who has many titles under his belt. From Dragon Dogma to Power Stone this man has many great title he wants to make and fans want to see. And given his recent success with DMC 5 we can only believe it will be another knock out. That is if it is true.
Ya some fans thinking we are being put off. Basically being misdirected only to get more hyped when they announce there will be DLC. Not only that but there are those who think we might get a special edition for this similar to DMC 4 which brings the whole fighting DMC family to the front line and not just leave it to Nephew and Uncle. Or is working on a new game such Capcom Vs SNK 3, Street Fighter VI, Onimusha 5 or something else. We will have to see.
