Final Fantasy VII Remake Limit Breaks As They Should Have Been ???

Final Fantasy VII Remake latest trailer showed us many things we have been dying to see. One of which is limit breaks and according to a rumor they will be split into 2 with one needing a bar and the other lesser one not. This is basically allowing us to have 2 limit breaks at once as opposed to previously where you have had to pick one limit break to do.

Now according to this new information that is what Nomura wanted all along. A reddit user posted information from Final Fantasy VII Ultimania which is basically the books that explain all there is on that FF game shows this rumor is what Nomura was aiming for. According to the book you were supposed to be able to use a weaker limit break that would consume less bar as opposed to the strong one.

To fighting gamers this is the difference between ex moves and super moves. Ex moves take a bit of the game where as supers for the most part take it all. If this is right than Nomura was trying to imply fighting game mechanics to a JRPG. Now that is if the rumor is true. Remember we don’t have solid info on the remake battle system. With June and E3 around the corner we look to see this is more about the game get explained. I will post the image of the page as well as reddit link below.
