One Piece Questions & Answers With Eiichro Oda On Sanji, Nami & Robin

Someone got Eiichro Oda  the man who created One Piece down and asked him a question. Basically he ask him why does Sanji called Nami Nami san and Robin Robin chan? The reason this is odd is basically in Japanese this states that Nami is older than Robin but we all know that is reversed.

“Ever since I started watching One Piece, I’ve been wondering why Sanji calls Nami ‘Nami-san,’ and Robin ‘Robin-chan’ in Japanese? Robin’s the older one, so she should get more respect!! Is there a deep meaning to this.” Fan

The answer is surprising as Oda explains it is because according to one of his staffers. Older woman like to be younger and younger woman like to be older.  The staffer asked if this is the case to Oda and he said yes. So basically Sanji is being a polite ladies man. But was is stranger is we got a straight forward answer out of Oda.

“I’ve never really thought that deeply about it. Recently, one of my staff members asked an interesting question. He said that was women get older, they like to be treated as they’re younger, and they like to be treated older when they’re young. He asked if Sanji realized that, and was acting accordingly. So I said ‘Y-yes, absolutely.” Oda
